Walking Distance to Hiking Trails

If you want to go hiking, many campgrounds require loading everyone in the truck and driving to a park of some sort. Not here. You can walk from your campsite to the trails. There’s even water access in several spots!

Where We Stayed

Site 1

We love this campground, mainly because of the easy access to hiking trails. RV sites with full hookups are just $36 per night. However, do be aware that it is a small campground, so there are only 12 full-hookup sites. The sites are nestled in the woods, so there are plenty of trees for shade. The particular site where we stayed this time left something to be desired with its sewer connection. It was way too high! (Naturally, I didn’t think to get a picture.) That site probably won’t be our first choice next time.

What We Did

Our main activities when we’re at this campground are hiking and relaxing. The trails are within walking distance of the campsites. Most are pretty short, so we usually combine trails to make a true hike. There is access to water on several trails, which is always a plus for the dogs.

The campsites have decent shade because of all the trees, which makes reading a book in a comfortable chair really easy to start and pretty difficult to stop. That makes for a pretty short “What We Did” section.
